“Safety is the aviation unit’s highest priority. I strive to lead a safety heavy environment with a Just Safety Culture where no mission is so critical that would necessitate acceptance of high risk wherein the hazards cannot be mitigated. I have instituted a “two to go, one to say no” turn down policy that empowers any crew member (pilot or TFO) to terminate a mission when he/she determines the mission is unsafe.” – AMO LT Joshua Underwood
